Nutrition Support for Malnourished Infants
The Clinica Maxeña recently began a Nutrition Support for
Malnourished Infants and also Infants in our Nutrition Program of Pastoral
Health; first infancy. We developed an agricultural project with 34 chickens
that lay one organic egg daily. Each month each child in the program receives 8
eggs. The mothers of the children come to a monthly meeting to receive
the eggs. Sometimes the meetings are in their community and sometimes in the Clinic
Meeting room. The babies weight and health care is monitored by the
Clinic Workers who are leaders in these health programs. Pastoral Health
for Infants is a National Diocese Health project. The Nutrition Project
is part of our Regular Preventive Program for Infants. Magali, Nurse Director,
with the assist of another Clinic Worker, Felícita receive on going classes and
meetings at the Diocese Health Project. The different communities
also have regular meetings with the women who participate. Your contributions
help us support these two important Health programs for infants. Thank You for
your financial donations.
